The Standouts series is about the human desire to strive, to be more than we are, through endeavor. We workout, we show off, engage in any number of activities that we imagine stretch us beyond the confines of our humanity. This series takes my particular style of photojournalistic photography and then “enhances” people engaged in these activities, emphasizing the ambition.
